As the producer and editor for "Indirect Actions," I was a leader of the project from it’s very inception. Our team conceived of the idea in November 2016, and we were joined by director Maranatha Hay to investigate the truth of what was taking place at the Standing Rock protests. After returning from the trip, we spent over two years researching and editing the film to put together the whole story. In late 2018, Good to Go Media joined the project and helped us transition the film from VR headset only to planetariums and cinematic dome theaters.
Thanks to our collaborative efforts, "Indirect Actions" has been successful critically. Since being released as a fulldome film, it has won four awards, including Best Documentary Feature at the 2019 Downtown LA Film Festival, Winner Fulldome Film Long Form from Macon Film Festival 2020, Best 360° Feature Film from the 2020 Horsetooth Film Festival, and the Impact Award from the 2020 FIVARS festival. The film is an immersive and impactful documentary on the 2016 Dakota Access Pipeline protests, and I am proud of being able to bring such a landmark immersive project to fruition.
